Dr.Birender Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, Bthinda, has been awarded a Minor Research Project entitled “Techno-Pedagogical Competence of Pre-Service Teachers: Predictive Role of Cognitive Flexibility and Mindful Attention Awareness” under the Namo Matrubhumi Mission Shardam Projects announced by the Centre of Research, Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar.
Implications for 21st-Century Teacher Preparation
The grant sanctioned for the research project is Rs 2,50,000. This study will suggest concrete recommendations for fostering techno- pedagogical competencies of pre-service teachers which is the requirement of 21st Century classrooms. The findings of the study will further assist policy makers and teacher education institutions to understand traits that need to be focused in teacher preparation programmes to prepare teachers for 21st century classrooms.
