Recently, Akal University hosted its 3rd grand convocation and alumni meet for the graduates of distinctive disciplines. Honorable Chancellor Dr. Davinder Singh Ji joined as a guest of honor at the event. He shared his invaluable views that Akal University is building highly competent, skilled graduates every year and demonstrates its strong allegiance towards Baba Iqbal Singh Ji’s mission of ’empowerment with education’.
Revisiting the Old Memories in Alumni Meet
Alumni meetings are a platform of reconnection where we can revisit the memorable moments we live at our alma mater. While meeting the brilliant teachers and friends and during the campus tour the unforgettable memories of unconditional laughter and an adventurous period were retrieved in their minds. Alumni members reported to the campus by 9 am. They received a huge welcome from the university. Thereafter they joined the hall where they shared their fabulous experience on the campus.
Grand Convocation Ceremony
The beginning of the convocation ceremony was featured with the entry of the academic procession in the convocation hall. During shabad gayan, everybody stood praying to the almighty to give them strength and a relentless attitude so that they could accomplish their dreams. Awarded Ph.D. degrees, chancellor’s medals, university medals, and degrees were awarded to students of various disciplines. After the reception awards and degrees alumni eagerly expressed their views. They delivered their heartfelt gratitude towards campus, being a part of Akal Network they have developed holistic personalities to compete in the world.
Reward and Recognition
The treasure of knowledge they earned at Akal University will facilitate the students’ lives. Immediately after completing their degree, some of them were hired by the premier organizations and companies based on their incredible competency and skill base. Some were offered handsome scholarships from prestigious universities abroad to pursue their research and further studies. Acknowledging the incredible achievements of the alumni members, various awards and certificates were delivered including the Distinguished Alumni Award, Best Alumni Award of the Batch, Best Contributor Alumni Award, Innovator of the Year, and many more.
Celebrating the Proud Moments
Students have created their own space beyond the national boundaries. Several students from the last batch are presenting our university in various countries as they join universities there. Parents felt so proud while receiving the honors on behalf of their students. These moments had so much to capture- the emotions, pride, and uncountable blessings.
Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Gurmail Singh congratulated all the attendees and wished them the best for future ventures. The third convocation was completed successfully and registered remarkable feedback.
