District Program Unlocks Hidden Artistic and Advocacy Skills within Students

Creativity Intertwined with Social Awareness at a district-level poster-making and slogan-writing competition organized by the Directorate of Youth Services, Bathinda.

The event saw participation from all Red Ribbon Clubs in the district. The University students proactively participate in such awareness programs.

Artful Advocacy through Poster Making Competition

In the poster-making competition, the students displayed their creativity and talent on crucial issues like Aids/Hiv awareness & blood donation.
Their artworks, which implied necessary and strong impactful messages, serve as a reminder of our responsibility as a society, and a call for us to rise to the task of addressing these important issues.

Slogan Savvy: Inspiting Voter Awareness

Voter drive campaign ‘SVEEP’ came under the theme of which composing slogans was a task that requested students to write slogans to persuade the general public towards voter awareness & participation. Sukhmandeep Kaur, a BPS II semester student, clinched the 3rd position the same category with a motivational slogan. Her slogan aptly described why citizens of the country should stay informed on the issues and play their role in the democratic process.

Honoring Student Achievements

Sukhmandeep Kaur was honored for her performance. The other students, who had also put their very best for Akal University, have received recognition & appreciation for their contributions. The event celebrated not only individual achievements but also the collective efforts of students in contributing to a better future for their communities.

Recognizing Student Excellence and Social Impact

Dr. Sukhjit Singh commended the students’ dedication to driving social change through literary and artistic endeavors. He was touched by the students’ zeal, and strongly emphasized the importance of their work and ways that can work in combatting anti-social  behaviors, and fostering positive social transformation

Such campaigns brighten the lives of adults who find an outlet for self-expression, engage society in a meaningful dialogue about vital matters, and contribute to creating a better future for their communities.
This is an occasion to glorify Akal University as our students attend some events & witness more such experiences that would help to empower the disentangled voices to become the force that would cause positive change.
