With the consistent and diligent efforts of the distinguished Professor CSE, Dr. Pardeep Singh Cheema, Akal University has registered four patents in its name in different spheres of agriculture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
About Professor Pardeep Singh Cheema
Early Life and Education of Professor Pardeep Singh Cheema
Dr. Pardeep Singh Cheema was born on 27 May 1973 in the village Mandvi, subdivision Moonak, Sangrur district in Punjab, India. His father, Joginder Singh, was in the Army Civil Engineer BRO branch. His mother is Simarjeet Kaur. His family was deeply connected with Sant Attar Singh ji and Sant Teja Singh. His grandfather had ‘amritpan’ from them. Because of the spiritual backing he had, Dr. Cheema was part of Kalgidhar Trust’s Divine Mission.
As his father was an Army Civil Engineer, he had schooling in different places. His early education was from Aizawl city, Mizoram North East, Gharaunda, Karnal district, Haryana. Later, he joined Sainik School, Kunjpura, Haryana, run by the Government of India’s Ministry of Defense. He completed his B.Tech from Aurangabad and his M.Tech and Ph.D. from BITS-Pilani. His wife is also working as a Professor of Computer Science. One of their daughters is pursuing an MBBS internship, and another is pursuing a non-medical degree at Baru Sahib.
Because of the inherited spiritual backing, Professor Cheems is inclined towards the divine mission of Sikh gurus. He got a solid base to work on after meeting Sant Giani Maskeen Ji. According to him, when he read pious Guru Granth Sahib Ji for the first time, he observed divine rapture and tranquility.
The Course of his Career
Computer Science, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security are areas of his specialization. He served as a lecturer at the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology. He also worked as a principal at Desh Bhagat University. Over time, his family moved to Canada. But his love and devotion to the country and its birthplace inspired him to come back and contribute to the divine mission of Sant Attar Singh ji.
In 2014, he was appointed Director of the Technical College at Eternal University, Baru Sahib. He took charge as Dean of the Engineering College there. He used to visit Canada at intervals as his family was staying there.
In February 2023, he was transferred to Akal University. Currently, he is instructing CSE Department students, working as a Director of Examination Controller, and managing the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). His wife is also a Professor of Computer Science.

- Cloud-based Electric Vehicles Temperature Monitoring system using IoT registered with the Government of India
- FLUID DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT, SANITARY, HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, SOLID FUEL registered with the UK Office of Intellectual Property
- Intelligent Cyber Security Checking Device- 10 CLOCKS AND WATCHES AND OTHER MEASURING INSTRUMENTS, CHECKING AND SIGNALING INSTRUMENTS registered with the UK Office of Intellectual Property
