Here is the Inspiring story of Ms. Pinky
First Visit to the Akal Campus
I have done my graduation in non-medical and looking for a good institute to take admission in Bed. But the Almighty has some other plan for me about which I was not aware. I met Professor Sukhjeet Singh Dhindsa and got enlightenment about the innumerable opportunities after completing a master’s in an industry-led discipline. On the recommendations of the Professor I visited the Department of Physics and observed the presence of cutting-edge labs, and highly qualified faculty members. The most fascinating thing for me was looking at the walls of the department filled with the achievements of students.
Conquering Insecurities and Earning Gold Medal
When I was enrolled in a master’s program in 2021, I was quite nervous and apprehensive that I would be able to cope with the other students since they did a specialized honors degree during graduation. However, I was able to conquer negative emotions with endless support from the faculty members. Under the guidance of Dr. Sushil Kumar (Supervisor) and Professor Sukhjeet Singh Dhindsa (Co-Supervisor), I did my dissertation entitled “Structure of Yrast Banda in Odd-Odd Deformed Nuclei ”.
I also presented my paper at the prestigious scientific forum DAE BRNS Symposium held at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Madhya Pradesh from 9-13 December 2023. The journey was not that easy for me but with the fusion of right guidance, strong commitment, and hard work I was the gold medalist of my batch.
