And at Akal University, that echo became action by holding a Blood Donation Camp to honour Guru Tegh Bahadur’s supreme legacy
Not Just Remembered – Re-Lived Through Seva
Words can praise, but Seva transforms. In a heartfelt tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Blood donation Camp was attended by a large gathering.
- 57 Units of Blood Donated – A lifeline for those in need, offered by students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Led With Commitment – This life-saving camp was organized under the leadership of Dr. Ritika Garg (NSS Officer) in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Civil Hospital Bathinda.
- Blessed With Guidance – The initiative was graced and encouraged by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gurmail Singh, whose presence inspired students to give wholeheartedly.
From Ardas at Dawn to the Final Donor’s Smile
The day began with a powerful Ardas, a collective prayer for courage, compassion, and service.
Soon after, the campus turned into a centre of hope:-
• Volunteers guiding donors.
• Medical teams working with precision.
• Faculty standing shoulder-to-shoulder with students.
• Smiles replacing fear.
• A sense of unity filling the air.
Every drop of blood was not just a medical contribution, it was a tribute, a Sewa, a living reflection of Guru Sahib’s legacy.
He Gave His Life for Humanity – We Offered Our Seva in His Memory.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji sacrificed everything to protect the oppressed.
350 years later, his message still inspires young hearts at Akal University to Serve, stand up for humanity, and be the voice of compassion.
