Akal University Begins Week-Long Celebrations for the 556th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

To commemorate the 556th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, has commenced a week-long celebration filled with devotion, spirituality, and unity. The sacred event began on 29th October 2025, marking the start of Prabhat Pheris—early morning devotional processions that echo the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji across nearby villages.

Prabhat Pheris – Spreading Peace and Harmony

As dawn broke, students, faculty, and staff came together in heartfelt devotion, chanting hymns and singing Shabad Kirtan. The serene sounds of Gurbani filled the air, carrying the timeless message of peace, humility, equality, and universal brotherhood — the very essence of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s divine philosophy.

Campus Immersed in Spiritual Vibration

The first day of the Prabhat Pheri concluded with an atmosphere overflowing with divine energy. The entire Akal University campus resonated with Shabad Kirtan and the spirit of Seva (selfless service), reflecting the community’s deep-rooted faith and reverence.

The Prabhat Pheris will continue until 2nd November 2025, serving as a humble tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s eternal wisdom — Naam Japo (Meditate on God’s Name), Kirat Karo (Earn through honest means), and Vand Chhako (Share with others). These guiding principles continue to inspire generations towards living a life of compassion and truth.
