adminIn a remarkable step toward promoting energy conservation and sustainability, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, is set to organize a three-day workshop on “Empowering Young Learners for Energy Conservation on LED Bulbs and Tubelight Repairing” from 17th to 19th November 2025.
This innovative initiative, spearheaded by the Eco Club in collaboration with the Department of Physics, aims to equip students with practical technical skills while inspiring them to become ambassadors of clean and affordable energy.
A Collaborative Effort for Environmental Awareness
The workshop will be held under the Environment Education Programme and is sponsored by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
With expert guidance from Mr. Hardeep Singh and Mr. Rahul Gouri of ZORO Star Led Lights, and keynote insights from Prof. Jitendra Singh Rajput of Jiriko Ventors Pvt. Ltd., the event promises an enriching learning experience for all participants.
Hands-On Training for Real-World Impact
The workshop is designed to offer intensive, hands-on sessions on repairing LED bulbs and tubelights, giving students valuable exposure to the energy-efficient lighting industry.
- Days 1 & 2: Participants will receive expert-led technical training in LED and tubelight repairing.
- Day 3: Selected students will move forward for advanced training in Ambala, opening doors to real-world industry experience.
A special feature of this program is the training and placement opportunity for students interested in pursuing careers in the energy and sustainability sectors.
Inspiring Change Through Sustainable Practices
Beyond technical skills, the workshop aims to foster awareness of e-waste management, reuse of lighting devices, and the importance of renewable energy. Participants will be encouraged to act as “Energy Ambassadors” in their schools and communities, promoting responsible energy use and environmental protection.
