On 29th July 2025, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, witnessed a momentous occasion as it welcomed the esteemed Dr. Gursharn Singh Randhawa an internationally renowned scientist and academic thought leader. His presence was an awakening event.
Delivering two profound sessions during the Student Induction Program, Dr. Randhawa spoke to nearly 600 first-year students most from rural, underserved regions igniting in them a spark of purpose, passion, and potential.

In his powerful address, Dr. Randhawa emphasized:-

• The urgency of scientific innovation for societal upliftment.
• The importance of finding purpose in one’s learning journey.
He shared stories from his own path from humble beginnings to a seat at global academic tables reminding students that no dream is too distant when matched with discipline and devotion.

This session was not just about science it was about service. Inspired by the vision of Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, Akal University continues to stand as a torchbearer for rural empowerment. It provides a platform where children from villages, often deprived of opportunity, are nurtured into conscious, capable, and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
