About ICEPAM-24
Akal University recently hosted the second edition of the International Conference on Evolution in Pure and Applied Mathematics (ICEPAM-24). This significant event was a collaborative initiative by the Department of Mathematics, Akal University, and Eternal University, Baru Sahib.
The conference was proudly sponsored by Binary Semantics, Maple Soft, and Infostudy, with financial backing from the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM), an autonomous body promoting higher mathematics in India.
ICEPAM-24 provided participants an opportunity to delve into applied mathematics for solving real-life challenges while exploring theoretical advancements in pure mathematics.
Inaugural Ceremony Highlights
The three-day event commenced with an inaugural session graced by eminent personalities:
- Guest of Honour: Professor M.A. Sofi, Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir.
- Inaugural Address: Professor Madhu Raka, Emeritus Scientist, Punjab University, Chandigarh.
The ceremony was attended by university dignitaries, including the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Dean of Academic Affairs.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, Head of the Department of Mathematics & Event Convener, outlined the conference’s objectives and agenda.
Networking and Global Collaboration
ICEPAM-24 served as a vibrant platform for researchers, academicians, and students from around the world to connect and collaborate.
Participants from Canada, Australia, Spain, France, Russia, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, China, Iraq, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and other countries joined both online and offline.
This event laid the groundwork for future collaborative initiatives and ignited discussions on diverse research projects.
