Six Physiotherapy Camps Beyond Classrooms to create Rural Impact
Akal University, recently turned textbooks into tools of transformation by organizing six impactful Physiotherapy Camps in the villages of Gurthadi, Mehta, Shergarh, Shahenwala, Chak Ruldu Wala, and Pathrala. Led by the dynamic Dr. Ritu (PT), these camps offered treatment with care.
Students as Healers, Learners as Leaders
Over 150 villagers attended, and 126 were provided personalized therapy for ailments like arthritis, back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, and postural issues. The real highlight is the Akal University’s BPT students, who confidently stepped into their future roles, performing assessments, engaging in consultations, and applying therapies all under professional supervision.
Villagers Gratitude, A Reward Beyond Words
The heartfelt thank-you letters and emotional responses from villagers were a testament to the deep impact. For many, this was their first encounter with professional physiotherapy. For students, it was a lesson in humility, empathy, and the real power of their skills.
Building a Healthier Punjab
These camps provided critical medical assistance that sowed seeds of health awareness. With each session, students healed bodies that ignited hope proving that education at Akal University is deeply rooted in Sewa.
