Foreign delegates at the international Conference at Akal University support the Punjab Flood Relief too !

A Conference with a Cause

The recent International Conference on Green Technologies, Environment and Drug Discovery (ICGTEDD-2025) at Akal University was not only an academic milestone but also a moment of compassion and solidarity.

Delegates and speakers from India and abroad came together for the Conference, but they also ended up in supporting Punjab flood relief efforts, contributing a total of ₹1,08,201. This collective gesture of generosity transformed the conference into more than just a scientific exchange- it has become a symbol of care for communities in need.

The Students get into action for their service and Sewa too !

With the donated funds, the Akal University NSS team procured essential supplies and distributed them to flood-affected families in Fazilka on 13th September 2025.

Not to be left behind, The students came forward and did all the active service work – from collecting the necessary items, and then reaching into the interiors on boats and buses via difficult terrain to help and to distribute the provisions to the needy.

This act of kindness demonstrated how academia and research communities can extend their impact beyond laboratories and lecture halls, directly touching lives and bringing hope during times of crisis.
