Akal University Leads the Way in Innovation with Five Teams Selected for SIH Nationals

Bathinda, October 1, 2025 – Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, marked a significant milestone in promoting innovation, creativity, and problem-solving among students by hosting the Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) on September 27, 2025. The event united 54 students across nine teams, who collaborated to address eight real-world problem statements.

This internal hackathon aimed to cultivate a spirit of technological innovation while preparing students for the national-level Smart India Hackathon, one of India’s largest platforms for young innovators.

Nurturing Young Innovators for a Smarter Future

The event served as a launchpad for talented students to design impactful, technology-driven solutions to social and industrial challenges. Out of nine teams, five were shortlisted to represent Akal University at the National Smart India Hackathon 2025, showcasing the institution’s dedication to advancing STEM education and innovation-driven learning.
